During the Kingdom of Toledo, from the VIII th to the XII th centuries, Medina Mayrit, was the designation of the area in which our city is now settled. Nowadays, Medina Mayrit means City of Madrid. It was a place where the three cultures - Muslim culture, Christian culture and Jewish culture- gathered. From that unique melting pot period, known as Al Andalus, extraordinary for its social and cultural growth, Medina Mayrit has recovered, in Madrid, such wonderful blend of cultures.

Medina Mayrit it’s more than an urban spa: it is a gathering point with History and leisure. Throughout the Arabic baths, the gastronomy, the decor and shows all the magic of Al Andalus has been recreated.

Trough the ripple of the water, the chords of sufí music, the aromas and the exquisite Mudejar décor your senses will be taken on a journey to the one thousand and one nights atmosphere.

Medina Mayrit is an limited company, with 100 % of Spanish funds exclusively in possession of Al Andalus Group. Its head office is at Granada.

Along with its main purpose, the Al Andalus Group also pretends to restore the Arabic Baths, the gastronomy, the décor and the characteristic shows from the three cultures Al Andalus period.
